Our School
We are a community school at heart and embrace the diversity that this wonderful country offers. At BCS children from across the spectrum can find a space in which to flourish and reach their full potential. As an International Eco-School, children are encouraged to treat our environment and the people around us with love and respect. Regular excursions into the town and district allow our children to embrace the opportunity to interact with the broader community and Mother Nature.
Walking through our beautifully restored historical buildings, there is a feeling of nostalgia together with a sense of excitement and a love for learning emanating from the classrooms. We believe children learn best in and out of the classroom when they are having fun, which is lived out in our school motto:
“Learning and loving it!”
In this safe, nurturing setting at the foot of the Kaga Mountain range, where children are free to come to school barefoot, we offer comprehensive academic and extra-mural programmes to small classes delivered by qualified, passionate teachers who are intentional about developing every child’s inherent potential, giving them wings to fly.
The Bedford Country School Song
Beneath Kagga Mountain with its old, old trees,
By Nyara River with its old, old streams.
God has given us dream,
To be all that we can be.
Here we learn through love and laughter,
Seek the knowledge that we are after.
We are having such fun,
Under the African sun.
